First Q&A

Never in my life have I been:
So tired! Work has been nuts lately, but I have a weeks holiday coming up at the end of the month and have the whole week off with my bubs so seriously looking forward to it!
The one person who can drive me nuts is:
My fiance. He has the best talent for being able to win an argument, even though he know's he's in the wrong.

High school:
Rubbish! I hated my entire education really, including uni. Had a lot going on back home while I was studying so never really had the full "uni experience".

When I'm nervous:
I grip my wrists and scratch the tops of my hands... no wonder they're always so irritated!

The last song I listened to was:
David Guetta "Where Them Girls At" - love that song!

If I were to get married right now my maid of honour would be:
My best friend Becca :)

My hair is:
rubbish atm! It's currently a nice reddish brown shade but it used to be lovely light blonde until a home hair colouring mishap! But decided to go for a change and stick with dark. Am desperately trying to grow it too

When I was 5:

I loved playing with my barbies :)

Last Christmas:
Was my last one living at home with my family, and it was lovely xxx

I should be:
Somewhere hot and sunny!

The happiest recent event was:
Moving into our first home together :)

There's this girl I know that:

has a fear of cotton wool... but she's awesome and such a laugh
 The world could do without:
Bitchiness/selfishness/greed
Most recent thing I've bought myself:
A batwing top from H&M and new pink shimmery blush

Most recent thing someone else bought me:
My mummy treated me to lunch today after my night shift :)

My middle name is:
Kayleigh
The animals I would like to see flying besides birds are:
Errrmm...pigs?!

 Once, at a bar:
I got felt up by some big burly bloke and I was so hammered I punched him... hard...

Last night I was:
Working and wishing I was back home in my comfy bed with my blokey

Tomorrow I am:
Back to work on day shifts
Tonight I am:
Feeling unwell so thought I'd cheer myself up with some blogging :)

Loved it! Will hopefully be adding some more stuff to my blog, would love to buy myself a decent camera so I can show little hauls but will have to shop around. If anyone can make any recommendations for a good camera, I'd love it!

It's time for a change

Have been thinking about it for a long while as it has been really getting me down, but since moving house and other things happening over the last 8 weeks I have gained a lot of weight, in excess of half a stone! During the last year i have lost almost 3 stone and I am so gutted to have let myself slip but I have made the decision to re-join Weight Watchers. This was always the best diet I have found which gives results but also allows me to satisfy my daily chocolate requirements!

After their big change to ProPoints late last year I did find that I really lost my determination, and with a holiday coming up in June next year, I do NOT want to resemble a beached whale when trying to relax. I want to feel good about myself and enjoy my holiday to the fullest! So this is it, I am going to make the changes I need to, starting with a reduction in my chocolate habit and no snacking between meals; the two things I am most guilty of!

If anyone else is thinking of joining WW you can get fab offers to help you get started for a cheaper price from MyVoucherCodes.co.uk.

Wish me luck, by this time next year I will be a lot slimmer and hopefully still showing off my lovely tan from Majorca!

It's been a while....

Well it has been a while since I last posted but a LOT has happened over the last couple of months and I literally haven't had the chance to really sit down and focus on putting up a post.

My fiancee and I have moved into our first home together (Yay!!) and we're absolutely loving finally being properly together. It has been a tough few weeks as we have had some unexpected bumps in the road but things seem to be finally settling down and we are now just simply enjoying being with eachother. After over 6 years together and a lot of things happening in that time, this has been a long time coming!

I have had a lot going on at work recently amongst other things so if anyone has been reading and wondering why it has been so long, I'm sorry! I am making a half-way-through-the-year resolution to actually pay attention to my blog and make a lot more posts!

Hello again!

Hi again,

Sorry I haven't been around for a while due to work, studying blah blah blah! I have, however, still had time to shop! (Thankfully!) Me and my fiance have finally got our own place together so will be moving in in about 5 weeks time so most of my shopping trips have been for home stuff but hey, the odd bit of skincare and make up is still allowed! :)

The things I have bought recently are skincare items mainly and I am truly loving them! I have always loved Soap and Glory which you can buy at most larger Boots stores, and I recently rediscovered their Righteous Butter (which just happens to smell almost exactly like Christian Dior Cherie perfume - bonus!). I recently bought their Breakfast Scrub which contains:
Golden Sugar scrub particles
      - Natural Organic cupuacu bio scrubs
      - Gentle Oatmeal grains
- Banana, Almond and Honey extracts
- Shea Butter
- Glycerin

No wonder it smells good enough to eat! I used this in the shower the day I bought it, and it made my skin super smooth with just a gentle scrub. I don't know about anyone else but I always used to think the more you worked it into the skin (i.e the harder you scrubbed!) the better the effects will be - wrong! This has a lovely grainy texture, not so much that it is uncomfortable to use, but you literally need to just gently buff it into the skin in circular motions and it sweeps away any dead skin cells and leaves you with silky skin. If you apply the righteous butter after using this your skin looks gorgeous, really smooth and almost dewy! I will also be trying it as a pre-tan exfoliant some time this week as I'm starting to feel really pale, especially now it is going to be June tomorrow!
I also bought another S&G product called Easy Glistening dry oil spray, which is an almond oil based spray. This gives a gorgeous sheen and will (I'm hoping as I haven't tried it yet!) look gorgeous on the legs and decolletage when you're a bit bronzed :)

I did buy one nail polish also which was actually a pleasant surprise! I have been searching for the perfect peachy nude toned nail polish and I came across Revlon Peach Smoothie. I didn't actually put two and two together that this is actually a scented nail polish, until I'd used it and kept getting wafts of sweet peachy smells every now and then! Haha! Just another thing to love about this polish! :)
At the same time as looking for the perfect peach nail polish I have also been looking for a pastel peach shade lipstick too. I found YSL #26 Tender Peach and fell in love, but with a £22 price tag, and a new house to move into in the next 6 weeks, I think I'm going to need to find a good dupe until I can ask for it as a pressie! If anyone knows of any pastel peach creamy lipsticks with a more justifiable price then please let me know!

Hope everyone is ok and enjoying the warmer weather,

See you again soon :)

Product review

Hi everybody,

I thought I would do a quick update on a couple of things I have bought recently and loved!
I don't know about you, but I always seem to go into every new month (after pay day) with good intentions and tell myself I'm not buying any more things I don't need, necessities only..... Which unsurprisingly enough, tell a girl she can't have something; she will go on a mission to get it. Especially where make up and myself are concerned!

The first thing I purchased was the latest Blush addition to Benefit's gorgeous line of boxed face colours; Bella Bamba, which they claim gives a 3D look to your skin, I wouldn't quite go as far as to say that but it certainly does give a nice perked up freshness to your face with just the right amount of shimmer, so fortunately you don't look like a glitter ball! I will say that it is really pigmented and with this a little goes a long way!

I also decided to try a couple of other products from Benefit including the Creaseless Cream Shadow/Liner in "Strut" ( really nice, I've found, for a long lasting daytime smoky eyes look), The Gloss in "Life on the A-List" (a gorgeous pink/peach gloss) and PosieTint which is another gorgeous colour which gives a nice fresh look to your face.

I also decided after a long time using a different brand of face cleanser every few weeks and never really being happy, I would try something new. I have found in recent months that my usually combination oily skin has started to go the opposite way and has started to develop unsightly dry patches. I went to my local Boots and immediately went to the Clinique stand as, for me clinique has the best line of skin care! The SA recommended I try this product, so I got a bottle of Clinique's Rinse-Off Foaming Cleanser, and after only one use all I can say is WOW! My skin was so soft and squeaky clean with not a trace of make up left on it. I am a hopeless addict for face wipes and always looking for a quick and easy (aka lazy) approach to taking my make up off at night, but I think after trying this and having only a pea sized amount produce so much foam and it effortlessly melting my make up off, I will be sticking to this for the foreseeable future. I would also recommend investing in a tub of Clinique's Moisture Surge Extended thirst relief gel-cream as, in conjunction with the cleanser, my skin has never felt so good. Couldn't stop touching my face after using it!

Anyway, I will stop rambling and go to bed now as I have about 4 hours before the alarm goes off... joy!

Thanks for reading,

My first Blog!

Hi!

So, after many months of religiously reading and loving other people's blogs, I thought I would start one of my own! This is just a place for me to talk about and share the things I love, which are mainly make up and beauty related. I love reading about these things and would love if people enjoyed reading what I have to say about products and looking at hauls.

I hope others enjoy reading what I have to say on my blog like I do others, I'd love to hear other comments and opinions on the things I write about so feel free to say hello! I am always on the lookout for more blogs to follow so leave me links to yours so I can check them out!
