Hello again!

Hi again,

Sorry I haven't been around for a while due to work, studying blah blah blah! I have, however, still had time to shop! (Thankfully!) Me and my fiance have finally got our own place together so will be moving in in about 5 weeks time so most of my shopping trips have been for home stuff but hey, the odd bit of skincare and make up is still allowed! :)

The things I have bought recently are skincare items mainly and I am truly loving them! I have always loved Soap and Glory which you can buy at most larger Boots stores, and I recently rediscovered their Righteous Butter (which just happens to smell almost exactly like Christian Dior Cherie perfume - bonus!). I recently bought their Breakfast Scrub which contains:
Golden Sugar scrub particles
      - Natural Organic cupuacu bio scrubs
      - Gentle Oatmeal grains
- Banana, Almond and Honey extracts
- Shea Butter
- Glycerin

No wonder it smells good enough to eat! I used this in the shower the day I bought it, and it made my skin super smooth with just a gentle scrub. I don't know about anyone else but I always used to think the more you worked it into the skin (i.e the harder you scrubbed!) the better the effects will be - wrong! This has a lovely grainy texture, not so much that it is uncomfortable to use, but you literally need to just gently buff it into the skin in circular motions and it sweeps away any dead skin cells and leaves you with silky skin. If you apply the righteous butter after using this your skin looks gorgeous, really smooth and almost dewy! I will also be trying it as a pre-tan exfoliant some time this week as I'm starting to feel really pale, especially now it is going to be June tomorrow!
I also bought another S&G product called Easy Glistening dry oil spray, which is an almond oil based spray. This gives a gorgeous sheen and will (I'm hoping as I haven't tried it yet!) look gorgeous on the legs and decolletage when you're a bit bronzed :)

I did buy one nail polish also which was actually a pleasant surprise! I have been searching for the perfect peachy nude toned nail polish and I came across Revlon Peach Smoothie. I didn't actually put two and two together that this is actually a scented nail polish, until I'd used it and kept getting wafts of sweet peachy smells every now and then! Haha! Just another thing to love about this polish! :)
At the same time as looking for the perfect peach nail polish I have also been looking for a pastel peach shade lipstick too. I found YSL #26 Tender Peach and fell in love, but with a £22 price tag, and a new house to move into in the next 6 weeks, I think I'm going to need to find a good dupe until I can ask for it as a pressie! If anyone knows of any pastel peach creamy lipsticks with a more justifiable price then please let me know!

Hope everyone is ok and enjoying the warmer weather,

See you again soon :)

Product review

Hi everybody,

I thought I would do a quick update on a couple of things I have bought recently and loved!
I don't know about you, but I always seem to go into every new month (after pay day) with good intentions and tell myself I'm not buying any more things I don't need, necessities only..... Which unsurprisingly enough, tell a girl she can't have something; she will go on a mission to get it. Especially where make up and myself are concerned!

The first thing I purchased was the latest Blush addition to Benefit's gorgeous line of boxed face colours; Bella Bamba, which they claim gives a 3D look to your skin, I wouldn't quite go as far as to say that but it certainly does give a nice perked up freshness to your face with just the right amount of shimmer, so fortunately you don't look like a glitter ball! I will say that it is really pigmented and with this a little goes a long way!

I also decided to try a couple of other products from Benefit including the Creaseless Cream Shadow/Liner in "Strut" ( really nice, I've found, for a long lasting daytime smoky eyes look), The Gloss in "Life on the A-List" (a gorgeous pink/peach gloss) and PosieTint which is another gorgeous colour which gives a nice fresh look to your face.

I also decided after a long time using a different brand of face cleanser every few weeks and never really being happy, I would try something new. I have found in recent months that my usually combination oily skin has started to go the opposite way and has started to develop unsightly dry patches. I went to my local Boots and immediately went to the Clinique stand as, for me clinique has the best line of skin care! The SA recommended I try this product, so I got a bottle of Clinique's Rinse-Off Foaming Cleanser, and after only one use all I can say is WOW! My skin was so soft and squeaky clean with not a trace of make up left on it. I am a hopeless addict for face wipes and always looking for a quick and easy (aka lazy) approach to taking my make up off at night, but I think after trying this and having only a pea sized amount produce so much foam and it effortlessly melting my make up off, I will be sticking to this for the foreseeable future. I would also recommend investing in a tub of Clinique's Moisture Surge Extended thirst relief gel-cream as, in conjunction with the cleanser, my skin has never felt so good. Couldn't stop touching my face after using it!

Anyway, I will stop rambling and go to bed now as I have about 4 hours before the alarm goes off... joy!

Thanks for reading,

My first Blog!

Hi!

So, after many months of religiously reading and loving other people's blogs, I thought I would start one of my own! This is just a place for me to talk about and share the things I love, which are mainly make up and beauty related. I love reading about these things and would love if people enjoyed reading what I have to say about products and looking at hauls.

I hope others enjoy reading what I have to say on my blog like I do others, I'd love to hear other comments and opinions on the things I write about so feel free to say hello! I am always on the lookout for more blogs to follow so leave me links to yours so I can check them out!
